We recently hosted the PASS: Train-the-Trainer course, led by Mike Watts with the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). This two-day training equips transit professionals with the essential skills needed to assist the elderly and passengers with disabilities, including:

  • Passenger assistance and sensitivity
  • Wheelchair securement and lift operations
  • Bus evacuation knowledge
  • Techniques for training drivers

A huge thank you to all the transit professionals who attended and earned their PASS Trainer certifications! Your dedication to improving accessible transit is truly commendable. We also want to express our gratitude to Mike Watts for delivering an excellent, informative course.

This training is a vital step in enhancing the quality and safety of community transportation services. By empowering trainers with current knowledge and hands-on skills, we are helping ensure that drivers have the tools to provide respectful, safe, and accessible service to all passengers, including those with disabilities. We look forward to seeing the impact of this training in our communities.

Together, we are making transportation safer and more inclusive for everyone!
